The Oklahoma City Thunder sent the Denver Nuggets cash for the right to pick small forward Daniel Hamilton in the second round (#56 overall) of the 2016 NBA Draft.  Hamilton is 6’7″, 190 pounds.  He played in 36 games at Connecticut last year and he averaged 31.9 minutes, 12.5 points, 8.9 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.1 steals per game.  Hamilton played in 71 games in his two years at U Conn and he averaged 31.6 minutes, 11.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.0 steal per game.  He only shot 38.4% from the floor, 33.7% from the three point line and 77.2% from the free throw line in college.  Hamilton isn’t going to make the Thunder unless he learns how to shoot better.  Still, the Thunder didn’t give up much to take a flier on Hamilton, so I like this move for them.
