The Thunder signed 30-year old shooting guard Kevin Martin and then they dealt him to the Timberwolves for a trade exception and they also got the draft rights to 30-year old center Szymon Szewczyk from the Bucks.  Martin played in 77 games (0 starts) for the Thunder last year and he averaged 27.7 minutes, 14.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.  Martin shot 45% from the floor, 42.6% from three point range and 89.0% from the free throw line last year.  He is going to be hard to replace, but that is why the Thunder wanted to work a sign and trade deal….so they could get a trade exception to possibly help them replace him.  As of right now, the only backup shooting guards on the roster are DeAndre Liggins and Jeremy Lamb.  The Thunder also got the draft rights to the Bucks’ 2003 2nd round pick, 30-year old center Szymon Szewczyk.  He is 6’10”, 244 pounds.  Szewczyk played in 32 games in Italy last year and he averaged 27.3 minutes, 12.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.
